The Dakota Plains roofridge nation is approximately 28 kilometers southwest from Portage La Prairie in Manitoba (Canada). There are there 249 persons and 30 students. They live them on a surface of 1.310 acres and their culture maintained. This concerns a Dakota people, who “Sioux” speaks.
The chieftain is Richard Smoke. The senior members of the council are: Chris Beaulieu, Leslie Smoke, Stuart Smoke and Calvin Chaske.
