The following austroriparian plants, none of which occurs in the Gulf Coastal Plain (Mississippi Biotic District) of Oklahoma, are presently alive outdoors at Tulsa after the survival time indicated:
Persea borbonia (L.) Spring. Source: Big Thicket near Coldspring, San Jacinto Co., Texas. Blooms and sets seed each year. Nine years.
Torreya taxifolia Arn. Source: East bank of Appalachicola River near Chattahoochee, Gadsden Co., Florida. Three years.
Illicium floridanum Ellis. Source: Southeastern Mississippi between Wiggins and Lucedale. Bloomed spring of 1975 but did not set fruit. Three years.
Osmanthus americanus (L.) Gray. Source: East bank of Appalachicola River near Torreya State Park, Liberty Co., Florida. Three years.
Cyrilla racemiflora L. Source: East bank of Perdido River, U.S. Hwy. 90, Escambia Co., Florida. Three years.
Lycium carolinianum Walt. Source: grown from seed collected at Cameron, Cameron Co., Louisiana. Blooms each year in late summer and fall but has not set fruit. Five years.
Tillandsia usneoides (L.) L. Source: Trinity River bottoms near Liberty, Liberty Co., Texas. Placed in Salix carolina over pond and survived the relatively mild winters of 1974-75 and 1975-76.
Pinus palustris Mill. Source: commercial nursery in Tulsa. Ten years.
Polygonella americana (Fisch. & Mey.) McCurtain Co.: in bloom August 3, 1976, on gravel bar along Little River 2½ miles n of Goodwater; gravel bar along Mountain Fork River at the narrows sw of Smithville, November 7, 1976. Pushmataha Co.: on rocky outcrop along Little River 6 miles ne of Cloudy. This inconspicuous shrub is apparently extirpated at the Oklahoma Hwy. 7 crossing of Pine Creek Reservoir between Antlers and Broken Bow in McCurtain Co.
Zizaniopsis miliacea (Michx.) Doell & Aschers. Wagoner Co.: swampy area 5 miles n of Porter, July 14. 1964.
