Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the interior is hereby authorized to extend for a period of one year the time for the payment of any annual installment due, or hereafter to become due, on the purchase price for lands sold under the Act of Congress approved June first, nineteen hundred and ten, entitled "An Act to authorize the survey and allotment of lands embraced within the limits of the Fort Berthold Reservation, in the State of North Dakota, and the sale and disposition of a portion of the surplus lands after allotment, and making appropriation and provision to carry the same into effect," the Act of Congress approved May twenty-seventh, nineteen hundred and ten, entitled, "An Act to authorize the sale and disposition of the surplus and unallotted lands in Bennett County, in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, in the State of South Dakota, and making appropriation to carry the same into effect," and the Act approved May thirtieth, nineteen hundred and ten, entitled "An Act to authorize the sale and disposition of a

portion of the surplus and unallotted lands in Mellette and Washabaugh Counties, in the Rosebud Indian Reservation, in the State of South Dakota, and making appropriation and provision to carry the same into effect," and any payment so extended may annually thereafter be extended for a period of one year in the same manner: Provided, That the last payment and all other payments must be made within a period not exceeding one year after the last payment becomes due, by the terms of the Act under which the entry was made: Provided further, That any and all payments must be made when due, unless the entryman applies for an extension and pays interest for one year, in advance, at five per centum per annum upon the amount due as herein provided, and patent shall be withheld until full and final payment of the purchase price is made in accordance with the provisions hereof: And provided further, That failure to make any payment that may be due, unless the same be extended, or to make any extended payment at or before the time to which such payment has been extended, as herein provided, shall forfeit the entry and the same shall be canceled, and any and all payments theretofore made shall be forfeited.

Sec. 2

That the provisions of the Act of April thirteenth, nineteen hundred and twelve, entitled "An Act extending the time of payment to certain homesteaders on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, in the State of South Dakota, and on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, in the States of South Dakota and North Dakota," shall apply to all homestead entries for lands in said reservations, heretofore or hereafter made, in the same manner it applies, by its terms, to entries made before its passage.
