Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That from and after the passage of this act, any person who has heretofore entered under the homestead laws, and paid a price equivalent to or greater than $4 per acre, lands embraced in a ceded Indian reservation, shall upon proof of such fact, if otherwise qualified, be entitled to the benefits of the homestead law as though such former entry had not been made: Provided, That the provisions of this act shall not apply to any person who has failed to pay the full price for his former entry, or whose former entry was cancelled for fraud.1
