Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby directed to investigate the removal of Frank Murray, a member of the Bad River Band of Chipper a Indians, and an allottee upon the Bad River Reservation in Wisconsin, from said reservation; and if he shall find that such removal by officers and agents of the Government was illegal, the Attorney General concurring, he shall so certify to the Secretary of the Treasury.
Upon such certification being made to the Secretary of the Treasury, he is hereby authorized and directed to pay to said Frank Murray the sum of $3,000 to compensate him for injuries to his business and property by reason of such illegal removal.
