Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to erect a monument on the Cheyenne River Agency Reserve to commemorate the deceased Indian chiefs of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe of Indians of South Dakota and the service men of that nation or tribe who died while engaged in the service of the United States in the recent World War. Such memorial shall be constructed of native bowlders and shall have placed thereon appropriate memorial tablets commemorative of such deceased Indians chiefs and service men, together with such other matter as to the Secretary of the Interior may seem appropriate.
The cost of such memorial shall be paid out of any money in the Treasury of the United States not otherwise appropriated, and a sum of not to exceed $1,500 is hereby authorized to be appropriated for the purpose.
