AN ACT
To provide certain increases in the monthly rates of compensation and pension payable to veterans and their dependents, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SEC. 6.

(a) The minimum monthly rate of pension payable to veterans of the Indian wars under the Act of March 3, 1927 (44 Stat. 1361), as amended (38 U. S. C. 381), or the Act of August 25, 1937 (50 Stat. 786), as amended (38 U. S. C. 381-1), shall be $96.75 unless such veteran is now or hereafter becomes on account of age or physical or mental disabilities, helpless or blind, or so nearly helpless or blind as to need or require the regular aid and attendance of another person, in which event the monthly rate shall be $129.

(b) All monthly rates of pension payable to dependents of veterans of the Indian wars which are payable under any public laws administered by the Veterans' Administration are hereby increased by 7 ½ per centum.
