Chapter 4: Marking Up in XML
What is XML Markup?
When we markup a document, we are encoding the text or image
into a special language read by Internet browsers so we can put the document
online. Similar to HTML, XML (Extensible Markup
Language) uses tags and codes to direct browsers and other computers
to read the information accurately.
Don't get too overwhelmed, though, because we also use
templates and style sheets to help you out.
