Sources of Books by or about Native Americans
The following sources of books include book dealers, publishers, organizations, individuals, and even online text projects. Some are recommended by Lisa Mitten in her page of Native American Sites. Some have been featured in articles in the American Indian Library Association's American Indian Libraries Newsletter. Others have been discovered by exploring the Internet. The objectives of the groups listed vary, but all include evaluating, pu blicizing, producing or distributing books by or about Native Americans. Some make it possible to order online.

Links to older Native books and articles, whose copyrights have expired, that are available as e-texts through the University of Virginia's e-text project.
This online resource consists of a variety of indexes, including one of reviews of books, as well as information on sources for purchase.
The site consists of a list of books on Native Americans prepared by an individual, but available through Amazon.com.
