Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following described lands be, and the same are hereby, included in and made a part of the Montezuma National Forest, subject to all prior valid, adverse rights, and that said land shall hereafter be subject to all the laws affecting national forests:

Southwest quarter section 10, southeast quarter section 17, sections 19, 20, 21, 22, southwest quarter section 25, sections 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 33, 34, 35, 36, township 42 north, range 17 west; east half section 8, sections 9, 10, 15, east half and northwest quarter section 16, northeast quarter section 17, east half section 21, sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, past half section 28, east half section 33, sections 34, 35, 36, township 42 north, range 18 west; and sections 1, 2, and 3 of township 41 north, range 18 west, all from the New Mexico principal meridian.

SEC. 2.

The Secretary of the Interior is hereby directed to determine, from the official records of the General Land Office, the number of acres of public land in the tracts described in section 1 of this Act, and to compute the value thereof at the rate of $1.25 per acre, and he shall certify the computed value of said lands to the Secretary of the Treasury.

SEC. 3.

The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby directed to place to the credit of the confederated bands of Ute Indians for their benefit, as provided in the Act of Congress approved June 15, 1880 (Twenty-first Statutes at Large, page 199), the amount certified to him by the Secretary of the Interior under section 2 hereof, which amount shall be taken from the unobligated portion of the net receipts from the Montezuma National Forest, beginning with the fiscal year in which this Act is approved.
