Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Commissioner of Indians Affairs is hereby authorized, in order to carry out the provisions of an Act approved September 21, 1922 (Forty-second Statutes, page 990), entitled "An Act providing for the construction of a spillway and drainage ditch to lower and maintain the level of Lake Andes, South Dakota," to acquire necessary rights of way across private lands by purchase or condemnation under judicial process, and not to exceed $5,000 of the money heretofore appropriated for the construction of this project shall be available for such purpose.
