An Act To authorize the setting aside of certain tribal lands within the Quinaielt Indian Reservation in Washington, for lighthouse purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized to set aside for lighthouse purposes, lot 5 in section 13 and lot 1 section 24, township 21 north, range 13 west of Willamette meridian, within the Quinaielt

Indian Reservation, in Washington, containing a total of forty-three and twenty-hundredths acres: Provided, That the Secretary of Commerce shall pay the Indians therefor, from the appropriation for the general expenses of the Lighthouse Service for the fiscal year in which this reservation is made, such price for the lands set aside hereunder as may be agreed upon by the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Commerce: Provided further, That the funds thus derived shall be deposited in the Treasury of the United States to the credit of the Indians of the Quinaielt Reservation, and shall be subject to expenditure for their benefit in such manner as the Secretary of the Interior may deem for their best interests.

SEC. 2.

That there is hereby reserved for the use and benefit of the Indians of the Quinaielt Reservation in common all oil, gas, coal, or other minerals in the lands set aside hereunder for lighthouse purposes, and the right to prospect for and mine these commodities under such rules and regulations as may be agreed upon by the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Commerce.
